Do you Recognize this?

Maybe you feel a bit off sometimes. You don’t feel great about yourself, you have issues in your relationship or at work or you struggle with one of many other daily problems. Everyone struggles sometimes.

Luckily, these days usually pass, but sometimes it feels like these issues are intertwined, and start becoming a part of your personality. As if the practical difficulties of daily life are rooted somewhere deep in your subconsciousness.

The reason for this may be:

Unprocessed experiences from your past, youth trauma, negative ideas or problematic relations. Maybe you’ve always felt insecure or anxious, without any apparent reason. This could develop into physical or psychological complaints, which can also reinforce each other.

Breaking the Negative Spiral

You could be struggling for years, without being able to break through that negative spiral. And sometimes, the solution can be surprisingly simple. You do have to be prepared to take a deep trip into yourself, to tackle the heart of the problem, deep in your subconsciousness. With our Ayahuasca sessions, you can achieve fundamental changes in a short amount of time, allowing you to re-programme yourself.

This allows you to resolve complaints, but you also develop a different view on yourself and on the situation. The result? You approach life in a different way. Your issues or negative thoughts become less present, or even disappear.

Of course, our Ayahuasca sessions are also available for those of you who want to achieve personal or spiritual growth! Take matters into your own hands and take responsibility to achieve in life, to have fun again at work or in your personal life. You might not know it yet, but you are the one who holds the solution for your complaints, issues or setbacks. And we would like to help you find those solutions using our Ayahuasca ceremonies.

About Maria Johanna

Ayahuasca has helped me to break through negative patterns and live life ‘awakened’. It has changed my life completely, and that’s why I’ve started talking about Ayahuasca on YouTube. I wanted to share my experiences, but even more so, I wanted the world to know about this.

I’ve seen plenty of examples of people who had been depressed for many years, and were cured after only one or a few Ayahuasca ceremonies. Ayahuasca solves psychological issues, but I’ve also seen other types of problems being resolved. One of the many examples is my friend Arianna Joy. During her Ayahuasca ceremonies, she saw how she contracted Lyme’s disease, and she found her healing. And there are thousands of other examples like it. Arianna Joy is a YouTube sensation when it comes to Ayahuasca. Ayahuasca also helps getting rid of addictions. It helps breaking through obsessions or patters. Think of people who always want to be in control and suffer from that.

My YouTube video has led to many things. More and more people were asking me if I could organise an Ayahuasca ceremony. When I finally told the Universe I was ready for that, it all came together on its own: now I organise Ayahuasca ceremonies together with a great team. It feels very good to us to help people with their spiritual awakening and healing process.

Part 1 – Preparation + Creating the Ayahuasca Medicine

Part 2 – Live in the Ceremony

What is Ayahuasca?

Ayahuasca is an entheogen drink that has been used for thousands of years by the people from the Amazon. It’s known for its strong healing and visionary powers for body and soul, and has been gaining popularity the last ten years.

In Pachamama we always brew our own medicine for our Ayahuasca Retreats and only use the traditional and pure form of the brew – Ayahuasca vine and Chacruna leaves. We encourage guests to get involved in the process, under the guidance of our experienced Shipibo Ayahuasqueros.

The process begins by pounding the Ayahuasca vine until it is fibrous. Then we clean the Chacruna leaves with fresh water and layer the two plants in pots. We boil the brew for several hours until it reaches the right consistency. While the medicine is brewing we send prayers and intentions into the pot. Participating in the full process gives you the opportunity to drink medicine that you helped to brew. The intentions, love and prayers that you put in during the cooking process helps you to open up to a deeper healing Ayahuasca can provide.

The Medicine of Sacred Icaros

The Ayahuasca ceremonies begin with and opening of the ceremony and drinking the brew. Shortly after drinking the medicine, the shamans will start to sing Icaros, which are ancient and sacred medicine songs that have been handed down by the Shipibo Shamans for many generations. These songs are used in ceremony for many purposes. One of their most important functions is to evoke the spirits of the plants who aid the Shamans in their healing work.

Icaros can also be sung to enhance or subdue the effects of the plant medicine, clear bad spirits and energies, or protect the participant during and after the ceremony. Our experienced healers know many songs and everyone of them will sing just the right Icaro for each guest, in every ceremony, based upon their specific needs for that moment.

Experience Deep Healing

For centuries, the indigenous tribes of the Amazon have used Ayahuasca as a powerful tool for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing and awakening. The Ayahuasca experience is truly unique to each and every person as it enables us to make a direct connection with the deepest parts of our subconscious mind, establishing a profound connection with our inner realms and higher self. Many of us are getting lost in this modern world. We forget or neglect to take time to reflect upon our lives, decisions, and traumas. Ayahuasca reopens the window into our soul and shows us who we are, why we came to this earth and, last but not least, she shows us who we can become. Truly getting to know yourself is like coming home.

Why join our Ayahuasca Retreat in Peru?

Thanks to these Ayahuasca ceremonies, you will move closer to heart, and away from your head. You will heal medical disorders, high sensitivity and addictions, you will be able to decrease stress, you’ll find yourself closer to yourself, you’ll be able to take away your loneliness, you’ll heal traumas and unprocessed grief, you’ll resolve eating disorders, get rid of limiting thinking patterns and so much more. Many problems develop before we can even speak. That is why many medical disorders cannot be resolved by merely talking. Healing needs to happen at a much deeper level. Ayahuasca enables this deep healing and is getting more and more popular. It is sometimes called the medicine of the soul.

Pachamama Temple Peru

The Pachamama Temple is a Retreat and Healing Center dedicated to sharing the medicine of Mother Ayahuasca, Mother Earth and the ancient wisdom of the Shipibo people. We provide Ayahuasca Retreats for people seeking deep healing and personal transformation, and who want to participate in a powerful exchange with our community of healers and teachers.

Getting here

Pachamama Temple is located just outside the city of Pucallpa. Why? Because this is where our Shipibo healers live! Unlike many other retreat centers, we chose to come to the heart of the Shipibo community instead of taking the Shamans away from their family and friends for months at a time to work in locations deep in the jungle of Iquitos. We strongly feel that the happiness of the Ayahuasqueros is of the utmost importance and reflects on their healing work in a positive way.

Your Flight

All international flights arrive in Peru’s capital city of Lima at the Jorge Chávez International Airport. Although prices for a ticket to Lima vary depending on certain factors like the time of year, how far in advance you buy and the type of ticket, the main airlines seem to hold fares fairly steady and tickets can easily be bought online. Outside of the Christmas Holidays and to a lesser extent at Easter, the highest season is roughly from late May to early October. For a comparative analysis of flights and costs try inputting your route to Lima (and your flight to Pucallpa) on Skyscanner.com. It is our experience that this website will usually present you the most cost effective way to get from point A to point B through the air. We recommend you to al least fly to Peru 2 days before the Retreat started and to stay at the Los Gavilanes Hotel for one night from. We will pick you up in the morning outside the Los Gavilanes Hotel at 11.00 am.

My First Ayahuasca EXPERIENCE – Life Changing!

I would like to share my first experience with Ayahuasca in the video below. It has changed my life in every way possible.

Our team

Our team of Shipibo healers and Western facilitators have carefully designed our Ayahuasca Retreats to offer the best experience we can to our guests. We have put a lot of focus on community and integration, which we consider to be very important aspects in the healing process. We also provide our guests with the opportunity to learn about the fascinating Shipibo culture through classes on Arts, Crafts, Language, and History. During the retreat there will also be plenty of one-on-one time with our healers and facilitators, who will help guide you through your Ayahuasca Retreat experience.

MAESTRA ROSA PINEDO VASQUEZ

Maestra Rosa Pinedo Vasquez, more affectionately known as “Mama Rosa”, has 31 years of experience in the practice of plant medicine. Her Shipibo name is Pesin Rate which means beautiful and admirable woman with long lank hair. Rosa has four adult children, Adelina, Feliciano, Luis and Genaro, who are all part of our team at the Pachamama Temple. At the age of 30, Rosa began her shamanic apprenticeship with Maximo Vela, which inspired a great dedication to the path of the Shaman in her heart. Mama Rosa has worked in very well-known Ayahuasca centers in Iquitos for many years, and is the most experienced member of our team. She has also shared her knowledge of the plants through various books on medicinal plants, published by Mr Jack Turnon. She is known for her sweet and compassionate presence and carries such a powerful, but gentle voice. She will amaze you, as she did us.

MAESTRO FELICIANO MARQUEZ PINEDO

aestro Feliciano Marquez Pinedo is the eldest Son of Mama Rosa. Feliciano’s Shipibo name is Kanan Betsa which means a man with a good profile and talented in business. After finishing primary school, Feliciano joined his godfather Lucio Cabra, a Mestizo healer, in working as a laborer in the timber industry along the Tamaya River. Feliciano became very ill when he was 39. He sought out a local plant healer named Wakapoko who was able to treat him and who imparted significant knowledge of plant medicines to Feliciano. When he was recovered, he furthered his studies by completing a 9 year apprenticeship with shaman Daniel Ramos. On his shamanistic voyage, Feliciano found a deep connection to Jesus Christ, the Bible and the Christian saints and angels. He often gives a blessing after singing his Icaros, showing that the Christian religion and the ancient traditions of Amazonian shamanism do not have to be mutually exclusive. Prior to working at the Pachamama Temple, Feliciano worked in multiple centers in the city of Tarapoto and other parts of Peru. He is a very cheerful man with an excellent sense of humor.

MAESTRA MARIA BARTRA ODICIO

Maestra Maria has 23 years of experience in healing with medicinal plants and guiding people through Ayahuasca ceremonies. When we asked Rosa’s family what other healers they would want to work with, Maria’s name was the first to come up. Maria’s Shipibo name is Pesin Jabe Koana, which means beautiful woman with long black hair. She is the daughter of the renowned healer Don Jose Bartra and grew up learning from her father. Following the loss of her 13 year old daughter, she decided to dedicate her life to working with medicinal plants. She started out by doing plant dietas on her own and held a great number of Ayahuasca ceremonies in solitude. After 5 years of dietas, another one of her daughters became seriously ill. With her new knowledge, she was able to save this child’s life, which filled her heart with so much joy. Following this healing, Maria was recognized by the local community as a Master. Maria tends to stay in the background. She doesn’t talk too much at first and takes her time to observe and feel out the people that are new to her. This can give an initial impression of her being a bit reserved, but once she gets to know you, she opens up in a such a way that you cannot help but want to love and hug her.

MAESTRO GILBERTO PICOTA LOPEZ

Maestro Gilberto Picota Lopez is is married to Maestra Rosa’s only daughter Adeline. Maestro Gilberto’s Shipibo name is Sina Nima, which means a serious and positive man. Gilberto’s father was a healer since the age of 12 and practiced Shamanism for over 66 years, healing many people of numerous different diseases. When Gilberto was a boy his father transferred the power to be a plant healer to him during a Ayahuasca ceremony. When Maestra Rosa met Gilberto and he came into their family, she saw in him a great talent, and decided to help him to discover and develop his shamanic gift. Since 2014 Gilberto has also been learning from Maestro Feliciano and his apprenticeship has just recently come to an end. Gilberto is 50 years old now and he is ready to share his gift for healing with the rest of the world. Maestro Gilberto is a very humble man, who some might consider shy. But once you get to know him, you can see that his heart is filled with a gentle love, which can be felt in his presence and heard in his beautiful Icaros.

MAESTRO GENARO MARQUEZ PINEDO

Maestro Genaro Marquez Pinedo is the youngest son of Maestra Rosa. Genaro’s Shipibo name is Ronin Mano which means invisible man with the strength and power of the anaconda. Like his older brother Luis, Genero will be teaching Language, Culture and History in the Pachamama Shipibo School as it comes to fruition. After finishing his primary education, Genaro decided he wanted to play a part in preserving the traditional Shipibo culture so he pursued two teaching degrees from the National College of Yarinacocha and the Bilingual Pedagogical Institute. He has been passionately teaching the next generation about their ancestors and their heritage ever since. Genaro has also always had an interest in plant medicine and learned many traditional Icaros from his mother. He is currently undertaking a shamanic apprenticeship with his brother Feliciano’s guidance, so he can learn more about the medicine and become a shaman himself in the years to come. He is also a skillful Shipibo massage artist, the father of seven, and a very sociable man who loves to have a good laugh.

MAESTRO LUIS MARQUEZ PINEDO

Maestro Luis Marquez Pinedo is Mama Rosa’s middle son. Luis is very involved with designing our education programs for the Pachamama Shipibo School and will teach Language, Culture and History as our vision for the school comes to fruition. His Shipibo name is Soi Sani which means wonderful, sociable and friendly man. This name suits him well as he is all of the above. From early childhood Luis knew he wanted to be a teacher and after he finished high school he received a grant to study in the Bilingual Teachers of the Amazon Training Program. Luis has served as Principal in Santa Elisa, Pedagogic Director of the public Bilingual Institute in Yarinacocha, and as a Teacher Training Specialist at the University of the Peruvian Amazon. In 1999 Maestro Luis travelled to Germany to support the transcription of the Shipibo language to Spanish by the Peruvian linguist Pilar Valenzuela. The book was published under the name Koshi Shinanya Aibo for those who are interested. Luis has been working for the the last few years as an advisor and monitor at the University Peruana Cayetano Heredia. Like all the other members in his family, he was brought up around Shamanism and Ayahuasca. He has extensive knowledge of medicinal plants and sings many Icaros in ceremony.

Written Testimonials

Hello, my name is Sergio and I attended a ayahuasca retreat at the Pachamama temple in July of 2016. I have drank ayahuasca before in the Netherlands, where I live, but it was quite a different experience in Peru. Two weeks before the retreat I started to follow a traditional diet, as recommended by the temple. This was intense but really helped me to prepare myself for my journey. During the retreat, every morning and evening, each individual got different plant medications prescribed by the healers. You also get to enjoy several flower baths, they smell really nice! And of course at night the ceremony starts. If I can give any advice it is to not have any expectations when you drink ayahuasca. It is a process and you need to have faith in yourself, the spirits of the plants and creation as a whole. Every unnecessary thought can block your experience. This was really hard for me. As the mind is a tool to create it can also create problems. You cannot think yourself out of your thoughts and you have to let things go. So if you FEEL like you are struggling in life and that you need to discover a deeper part of yourself, if you are looking for healing of the body, mind and spirit, Pachamama temple is a great place to visit. I love you all and I have got hope for this planet. Now let’s create 😉

Sergio Carta

I attended a Ayahuasca retreat at Pachamama Temple in December 2016 and it was one of the most beautiful, rewarding and cathartic experiences of my life. From the wonderful staff to the family of 6 Maestros and Maestras, the retreat was filled with love, compassion and graciousness. The Maestros were so gentle with each other and with us and the ceremonies were just wonderful. I made the mistake of not adequately protecting myself against mosquitos on the first night and Mama Rosa and Mama Maria came by every morning to treat all my bites with Sangre de Grada, which helped so much to relieve the “itchy, itchy” as they would say (“Shua” in Shipibo). They would patiently and lovingly dab each of the dozens of welts on my legs and arms. They would greet me every time we saw each other with the word “ekokononai” (Shipibo for “hug”) and a big hug. Thank you to all the staff, particularly Daneille, Megan and Davis, and the Maestras Mama Rosa and Mama Maria and the Maestros Genaro, Gilberto, Feliciano and Luis. I would not hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend Pachamama Temple for anyone looking for a life-changing spiritually and physically healing experience.

Frank Rayburn

I recently got back from a 12 day retreat at Pachamama Temple, and my heart fills with joy and love when I think back on the time there and the people I spent it with. It was my first experience with ayahuasca, and it seems like it is the beginning of a relationship full of wonder and insight. The temple is located in a lightly populated area, walking distance from a nice beach [along the lake]. There are a few fruit stands close by, selling some of the best fruit I’ve ever tasted – if you so wish, as the kitchen was very well stocked. Private rooms with electric outlets were also provided.

Hillel Goral

My favourite Ayahuasca video

This is my favourite Ayahuasca video, I can totally agree with it. “Ayahuasca is not a secret, Ayahuasca is THE SECRET”. This medicine comes straight from mother earth, and that is exactly what we need to heal. That is my personal view. Another important point in the video is that you can’t really appreciate life until you’ve had an Ayahuasca experience. Only then, you have a real and deeper appreciation for life. You will never be the same after your voyage. I’ve experienced that too. It’s not guarantee, of course, but I do invite you to watch this video.

About the Ayahuasca Ceremonies

During an Ayahuasca ceremony, you can confront yourself, and look at your fears, insecurities and traumas. You can improve things for yourself, and towards the ones that you love. This can be very challenging. During your voyage, you could feel nauseous or you could suffer from diarrhoea or vomiting; this is part of the cleansing process. This doesn’t always happen however. I (Maria Johanna) have never had to vomit during my ceremonies.

Personal experience
I often find myself in a warm bath of love. Ayahuasca lets me remember things from before I came to earth. It’s as if you get a sixth sense that you don’t have in the lower dimensions. And when you do experience confrontations, you know they are only temporary. You have the opportunity to immediately implement the lesson in your life. It often happens that after the ceremony, you come across the lesson again. Thanks to your new views, you can approach it differently. And then you know you’ve healed.

A safe and intimate atmosphere
Our Ayahuasca ceremonies take place in a safe and intimate atmosphere, a place where you can come to peace and where you can safely open up your heart. There is only a limited amount of spots, with sufficient guides. There is always plenty of attention and support for each and everyone’s voyage.

Ayahuasca Experiences with Maria Johanna

Dear Maria Johanna,

I participated in the Christmas Special and oh boy it was special! I’m very grateful you made this possible. There was so much warmth, safety, care, commitment and knowledge. It is the most healing and impressing experience I’ve ever had.

I got much more out of it than I expected and could have dreamed of. During the sessions I saw how I limit my life with my own thoughts and the thoughts and expressions others. I found my self-determination back (the opposite of control) and a much larger lust for life.

I came home five days ago and am still very impressed by the magnificent outcome of Ayahuasca and the enormous contribution of your caring team. I got answers when I asked questions and I received the insights I needed to resolve certain issues. When I asked for it, you gave the appropriate support and I received special experiences I wouldn’t have gotten without your help. Surprisingly, life questions I had been asking myself for many years were also provided with an answer.

In short, I gained exactly those insights and experiences I needed to get even more out of life and to contribute to the happiness of others. Many, many thanks! My gratitude is huge!

Sella de Griend

Dear all,

It has been over a week now since my last ceremony. It is time to share my thoughts about three overwhelming experiences.

They were the most intense experiences I have ever (consciously) had, more so because I couldn’t sleep. Even during the days after, I had trouble getting to bed, even though I was extremely tired. I was still busy processing. It was pretty heavy.

The fact that I was able to go so deep is thanks to your complete safe and caring supervision and setting. And of course that also includes Rene, Dorothea and the other guides of Maria Johanna and her team. Your love and acceptance and your support really moved me. There are no limits, everything is welcomed and supported, as long and as often as needed. That really touched me and I am very grateful for it.

During the third ceremony, I also saw my parents in a different light. Past all karma. I saw their own essence, and felt so grateful that they are my parents. I will never forget how I saw them at that moment.

I took it easy the last few days and filled my head and heart with mantras and softness. Since yesterday, I feel a lot better: stable, calm, more energetic, more lust for life. I really hope something essential has changed now that I have had the courage to look into the mirror of my youth. I hope the old pain has healed and that I am as new. That would be amazing. I’m almost too afraid to hope for it! In any case, I still feel I love myself and would like to live with an open heart.

Thank you so much for this amazing experience. If I’m ever ready for another ceremony, it will definitely be here again!

Lots of love, Sabine

Sabine

How I am after the ceremony? I feel like a completely different person, a lot of switches from my old behaviour have been switched over.

I feel stronger than ever, I have a lot more confidence, more confidence in life and my lust for life is back. I know my own limits, don’t let myself be influenced and do things like I feel they should happen.

What I used to be anxious about, I now see as a challenge. I’m not afraid to play anymore, I stopped worrying if something is allowed or not. I beam again! And I hear that from other people too.

It’s also something I can really feel; I sense that life takes care of me. I feel beautiful and loved again. I see my own talents and potential. Your loving presence also made sure I could really let go and enjoy it all to the fullest. I felt safe.

I can welcome happiness and love again, because I feel I’m worth it. But I also feel that I am love too. It’s hard to believe how much has shifted after only two ceremonies. I’m very grateful that I was able to be a part of this. I notice I’m still ‘unpacking’ my experiences and it will take a while before everything has settled in.

Coffee doesn’t taste that nice anymore and I no longer crave sugar or other ‘bad’ things. I really want healthy foods now! I take care of myself and feel a stronger connection with nature and all other living things. A lot has shifted here too. It takes more to irritate me and I have more compassion with other people and myself. I now judge others and myself less. We are all learning.

It was beautiful to be able to feel the love of the unseen world during the ceremonies. I can never forget that; it is really present now. My clear conscience seems to know better what is good and what’s not. I don’t have to hesitate that much anymore, I feel a lot more confident. Synchronicity also seems to have increased, it just comes to me. Really beautiful.

Who knows, I might join another voyage one day. But for now, there is so much healing I can only look back with a lot of gratitude. I am so happy you are organising this and making this possible together with Maria Johanna and her team. I’ve already referred many people to you, but I know you only join when time is right for you …

Lots of love and big hugs, Hester

Hester

I had two amazing days with Maria Johanna. I participated in the ceremony once. It was very exciting and I gained many insights. What stood out for me the most was the loving, safe and enjoyable atmosphere, created by the entire team. During these two days, I felt a sense of belonging, something I’ve missed for a long time.

If anyone asks me about Ayahuasca, I will recommend Maria Johanna and her team WITHOUT A DOUBT! For Ever Thankful!

I went so deep in looking at and feeling my fears, my need for control and the harshness towards myself … Damn! Claws, linking myself to the darkness time after time, my thick, steal battle armour, how I’ve let myself being taken advantage of as a child and later (there wasn’t really time …), my separation from the source (ouch!) … And so much more … I wanted to quit at some point, it was really difficult. But it was the extra confrontation I needed to really gain insights. Luckily, you were there when I needed you.

It felt nice to receive so much personal attention. You feel you’re not alone and are allowed to lean on someone else. It felt amazing! Thanks to your help and safety, I let myself go. I wasn’t scared to go with what needed to be seen and felt. Letting go felt so easy.

There was so much, from our creation force to 3D images, thousands of insights for myself, making my own choices, my desires. But also our ever so beautiful creation force. My hands made a stunning artwork of that.

I saw and felt so much that I need some time to let it all sink in. I would love to share everything, but there are no words. I would like to thank you especially, because it felt like you were sitting with me for a very long time. Maybe you didn’t, but it felt like it. Your energy and presence were pleasant. Your lightheartedness, humour, liveliness, softness … your being! I felt safe, with everyone for that matter.

At the end of the voyage it really felt like coming home. The whole thing was unbelievable! I really enjoyed it and am still enjoying it!

Thanks to all!

Petra

I have recognized my self-hate and conception trauma. I now connect with it.

I now take it more seriously that it can be ABOUT ME. I’m lovingly reconnecting with my total SELF.

Thanks!

This inner journey could not have been more beautiful or loving than with Maria Johanna and her team.

Safety in total insecurity, loving support on unknown paths.

It was an unforgettable experience!

Dear Maria Johanna, René and all other guides,

With this message I would like to share my feelings with you. It’s actually impossible to describe this experience, but I will try to explain what I feel after the ceremony …

I am deeply grateful for your openness, support and trust, the fantastic organisation and the music of the Ayahuasca ceremony of January 25. It has given me deep, spiritual insights, as well as a deeper Love and Kindness for LIFE.

Lots of love, Rob

Rob van den Hoed (55)

Dear all,

On January 25, I participated in my second Ayahuasca ceremony. Just like last time, I got exactly what I needed. All I can say is: do it, go, go, go!

Again, it was an overwhelming, fantastic and colourful experience. Maria and guides, thank you!

Love, Arie

Arie (25)

Still somewhat vulnerable and open, I am sitting here thinking about how grateful I am for my fantastic voyage yesterday. I feel awake, and I feel in the present. I see my thoughts come by, and my ego that wants to resuscitate my old patterns. I simply look at it and let it be, I can let go. I feel so happy, like a child when it snows. I dance because I live and I sing because I’m happy.

Everything is so clear, more awakened and especially filled with love. I see love everywhere! Everything is welcome in softness in my awakened heart! If that isn’t coming home! The experiences I had yesterday cannot be described.

Petra van der Schoot

The first ceremony was very intense. I don’t think I have ever been that sad or scared before. Luckily, you stood by my side. You guided me through it and consoled me, for which I am very grateful. I saw and especially felt my past, my present and even my future.
I’m very happy I decided to go through with the second ceremony after all, even though I was scared to feel even more sadness. The second voyage was a lot more relaxed, with many insights and a feeling of unity and security. Everything is one, and all is light.

I got over my insecurities and in the meantime, I have been able to help people get over small pains and to pass on messages. And I feel this is becoming easier every day. Thank you!

First, I would like to thank the beautiful supervisors. I have a lot of respect for their strength, love and devotion. In particular the Algerian brother, who pleasantly supported me. It was a very special experience; it was the ultimate self-realisation. Right after my experience, I had the urge to write, and this poem I would like to share with you was the result. I’m wishing you and Maria Johanna and her team all the strength and love to keep up this amazing work.

Adnan

This was my first experience with you and Ayahuasca. I have so much to say about my voyage.

My experience was not a joke. It was a deep, mental and physical cleansing, with all the symptoms that go with it, such as pain, misery, anxiety and loss of control over mind and body. I am still very much impressed.

Most of my questions were answered: what happens after death, my grief and why I don’t like being on Earth. Everything seemed logical; every person is a mere appearance of his or her Own Self, each and everyone is god and cosmos. All religious madness is a prayer for myself; I am Buddha, my neighbour, heaven and earth. I created all of this. And it’s all an illusion. No beginning and no ending, everything is eternity. I choose this illusion, this world, I am the creator of my existence in this role, and I have the choice to be sad or happy in this existence. It is OK to have material belongings and money isn’t all that bad. I have the right to live like a king in France, because I am the origin of this illusion.

I have seen life and death, leaving the body. I received so much information. I was also very tired and afraid I wouldn’t be able to come back. Only when I promised to enjoy life, I was allowed back. I was born and I died several times during my ceremony. I now understand that you never die, but only leave this body for a different life or another illusion.

My question is now: what is the purpose of all of this? I want to go further, I want to make a voyage without fear, and I want to enjoy, with lots of love.

What has changed in my life? I now respect my Own Self and my body. I don’t accept demands that don’t contribute to me. I see Man in his origin, vulnerability and need for love and understanding. I love this life and the people surrounding me. I feel young and fit again, no pain. I’m able to sleep again, very deeply.

Maria Johanna, I thank you for spending so much time with me, and I thank the loving nurses that surrounded me with motherly care and love.

See you soon, Sylvia from Belgium

I thought the Ayahuasca ceremony was an amazing experience! It is impossible to put it down in words, but I’ll give it a go: sensational, universal and blissful. I saw fantastic colours and images and received loving insights and wise lessons. I’ll never forget this experience. You and the other guides were so involved and caring, it created a safe environment. I would really recommend it to everyone!

It has been about 2 weeks since I left the Ayahuasca ceremony of Maria Johanna. I was really nervous for my first journey, because I had truly no idea what to expect.  After a short explanation we were led into a peaceful room where we would all lay down. Soon after drinking the Ayahuasca I was drawn into a magical world. My first journey was unbelievable and breathtaking. I experienced an intense feeling of love and safety. I had returned to my childhood and mother Ayahuasca was taking care of me.

Maria Johanna and her team were also very caring, compassionate and kind, I felt completely at home and taken care of. The amount of pure love present was nothing I have seen before. Ayahuasca opened my eyes and brought me back to myself and I could not have chosen a better place for my first Ayahuasca experience. I would like to thank Rene, John, Mo, Shurandy, Maria and the rest of the sweet people from the bottom of my heart.  See you all again!!

Proshat Alavi

what can I say? I wanted to take some time to thank you for the idea to set up these retreats as I have witnessed some incredible transformations (also within myself) during my stay in Doornenburg. I think your mission to spread female energy into this world (at least this is what I intensely was shown by Mother Ayahuasca on Friday) is very important and you have to continue and continue setting up these retreats for people that feel their time has come to go on their journey with Ayahausca. What and amazing and loving team by the way!! They all had their own very specific role in the session. Thank you!

Results Ceremonies

You can benefit mentally, emotionally and physically from the Ayahuasca ceremonies. Mentally: increased clarity in your thinking, self-insights, understanding for people around you and a strong decrease of stubborn and irritating thoughts.

Emotionally: inner peace, self-acceptation and self-confidence, renewed empathy and positive emotions (e.g. being able to enjoy) and expressing emotions (e.g. grief and anger).

Physically: disappearance of physical disorders with a psychological origin (tensions, insufficient energy and resistance, physical complaints and over sensitivity with no medical explanation), more consciousness, confidence and relaxation, better functioning, more control over your own life and more harmony in your relationships. For me, it is as if the spirit of Ayahuasca is putting me on the right path and brings me into the flow.

How Do I Feel the Day after the Ceremony?

A frequently asked question is “How do I feel the day after the Ayahuasca Ceremony?”. Of course, there is not one answer to this question, but rest assured: the following day, you are completely back to normal, you are yourself again. There is no hangover like with alcohol or some other drugs. Many people feel clearer.

Your insights may have an impact and bring you closer to yourself. You sense more inner peace and compassion. You could also feel some after effects of certain confrontations. Anything is possible. It is good to let the Ayahuasca experience set in quietly.

It is possible to see people: visit your children, your partner, family or other people that you love. Some people like to work out and go exercise. It’s can also be nice to spend some time in nature. You will probably feel more connected to it than before. We recommend to take some to for yourself, but it is very personal. So some people just go to work the next day. You can not predict how you feel the next day.
